The monthly San Jose Bass Club party has been out of commission for a while, "hiding 20 floors below sea level," as they put it. But now they're back, having put together a First Friday party last month and now one for SubZero, with San Francisco house producer Vin Sol headlining. Sol plays a spacey kind of house, remixing the likes of Sade with hypnotic basslines and washes of synths. Other DJs lined-up include Justin Weisberg, Crxtian, Demichild, Bendi, Sicknarf and A-FOX. Beyond house, SJBC promises garage, trap, electro, techno and "anything else we feel like playing." (Stephen Layton)
