The album delves futher into Vieux's roots than he has venutred before, bringing in the most decorated supported cast of Malian musicians, his deepest grooves, and his most virtuosic guitar work to date. The album also features the first ever collaborations with Sidiki Diabate, son of Toumani Diabate, the world's greatest kora player and Vieux's mentor. This is raw, deep, organic West African guitar music at its finest from the man quickly emerging as the modern standard bearer of the Mali blues tradition.
