Victor Little's Big Hit
VICTOR LITTLE will be bringing the FUNK to the Fillmore on Friday night, as he puts together a fire line up to get his audience groovin'
LIFE’S A GROOVE is a concept founded by artist and bassist Victor Little, whose vision is to unite people together through music and to create a musical journey for the listening audience that will transport them to all parts of the world, enabling them to experience the sounds of sophisticated music performed with feeling and intellect. Victor is passionate about creating and playing music for a living, and has demonstrated his commitment by writing, producing, consulting, recording and performing original music in a career that has spanned over 20 years. “I’ve been blessed to collaborate with some of the most talented musicians and play on some of the most prestigious stages with world class artists and performers” says Victor, whose resume contains a long list of luminaries that includes Patti Austin, Billy Preston, Angela Bofill, James Carter, Charlie Musselwhite, and Booker T. Jones to name a few.

Victor’s album Inner Portrait, which is described as a “powerful musical journey that flows with sophisticated Bass melodies. It features legendary drummer Dennis Chambers (Santana), grammy-award winning drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta) as well as Ruslan Sirota (Stanley Clarke) playing keyboards. “Finally I have stepped out of the shadows of being a sideman and produced my own record. I’m more excited than words can say about the final product” says Victor, who has already been receiving rave reviews from peers, industry insiders and the media.

Soluzion
Combining the concepts of a solution to a problem and a hallucinogenic experience, we bring you Soluzion from Topanga, California. This group of four men from different musical and cultural backgrounds blend a perfect balance of funk, afro-latin, soul and jazz influences to create and unforgettable live show. One could come to a Soluzion show and feel like they’ve returned to a time and feeling they recognize but perhaps have never known; the energy is high, the music is solid, and nobody can stand still.
Three of the band members grew up playing music together in Topanga Canyon – a small town in the Santa Monica mountains with an enticing history of music and counter culture – and have also played as Re:bel, the backing band for Daniel Bambaata Marley. Terin Ector leads the group on vocals and bass, with influences from his dad (Joey Ector) and uncle (Taumbu Ector), who are both accomplished musicians. Aquiles “Lito” Magaña lets his inner visions come out to play on the electric guitar, raising the energy to higher levels. The rhythm section is comprised of Sebastian Harris – an ocean man with surfboard and drumsticks in hand – who plays with precision and finesse, and Pedro Flores, who dirties it up with various percussion instruments including the congas. This core four makes up the band, but you can expect to see friends of theirs on stage at any show on the keys, backup vocals or horn sections, adding to the party mood that they create for all to enjoy.
