Victor Cartagena: Artist Talk at the Richmond Art Center

SEE EVENT DETAILS
San Francisco-based artist Victor Cartagena will be at the Richmond Art Center talking about his provocative installations in the exhibition “Sites/Sights of Intervention” (thru May 30). His work pulls from early memories fleeing El Salvador’s bloody civil strife in 1985 and uses appropriated images and formal strategies to comment on world events and broader social issues, including war, forced migration, cultural violence and social insensitivity.
