For many SCU students, one of the highlights of the usually dull winter quarter ("Ugh, I only black out four nights a week!") is Don't Bring Sand to the Beach, put on annually by the entrepreneurial young Broncos at Leve1 Entertainment. This will be the fifth and thus far the largest incarnation of the party, this time moving from its usual spot in Palo Alto to downtown San Jose and nabbing blog buzz DJ Viceroy to headline. Viceroy's sunny tracks occupy the dancier end of the spectrum, kind of like New Wave duo Kisses but with more disco beats. (Stephen Layton)
