VENUS is a new showcase series for women, and our mission is to elevate all who identify as women in the music industry.
VENUS, being the planet of love and creative expression in astrology, helps us tune into our inner wisdom and trust our instincts. It values kindness over competition, compassion over comparison, and empowerment over ego.
VENUS is co-founded by the record label and publishing company for women World Peach Records along with artist, entrepreneur and activist Tess Posner.
LOLA KRISTINE
From humble beginnings in the heartland of America, soulful songstress Lola Kristine was born, surrounded by the sounds of jazz and blues music in St. Louis, Missouri. Quickly discovering her artistic gifts, Lola began her thriving career as a musician at the age of 10. Known for her powerhouse voice and stage presence, she has always effortlessly flowed through many genres in her writing and performances. In 2017, she took a leap into the unknown and moved across the country to pursue her dream in Los Angeles. Since then, she has toured with Grammy-award winning artists, released multiple albums and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Her newest album CHAPTERS, released May 2024, has been featured in notable music magazines such as Earmilk and Playground UK. The album is gaining notoriety worldwide, already charting in the top 20 on Canadian independent radio. Her deeply honest music serves as a potent source of inspiration for many on their healing journeys.

Hailing from Halifax, Canada, Alanna is an Indie-Folk songwriter and producer, capturing audiences with her sonic empathy and incredible voice. Her new album "Subject to Change" is an exploration of getting older, and growing away from old routines, people and even relationships. It's due out on October 4th.

CONTAINHER
ContainHer is a female artist and composer who weaves transcendental sci-fi dreams into indy electro pop that scintillates with warmth and emotion. Along with performing as CONTAINHER throughout the SF Bay Area, April enjoys collaborating with other artists, as a featured lyricist/vocalist, and composing music for multi-disciplinary artistic projects, most recently an eco art collaboration with acclaimed bay area sculptor Evan Holm. She also recently contributed music to the beautifully moving video game, Ghost of A Tale (composing, arranging and producing Tilo's Songs). The game was released on Playstation and Xbox in March 2019 and won the prestigious Ping Award for best independent game in France, but the most thrilling part was seeing fans post metal versions of her bard songs. April also contributes to the cross pollination of her Bay Area electronic music community, and throws incredibly creative music shows she co-organizes with her fellow artists, The Yay Area Love Cats.
