Vagabong is a film documenting by veteran glass-blower JD Maplesden as he travels south down the West Coast of America, performing live demonstrations and collaborating with fellow respected glass artists. The tour antics span from Portland, Oregon and ending in San Diego, California with stops at some of America’s best glass/ cannabis shows: Degenerate Flame-Off, Ziggy’s Smoke Shop, and Chalice Festival. This film highlights the power of the artistic community and the benefits of living outside the ordinary.
The film’s North American premiere will take place in San Francisco, California on Thursday, March 30 at The Chapel. The one-night only screening event includes a gallery showcase and an after-party with complimentary beer, wine, and catered fare. The gallery, co-curated with Tribe 13, combines all the work created during the Vagabong tour plus solo work from respected glass-blowers.
