Brava is honored to be joined by world-renowned artist, Ursula von Rydingsvard, for the presentation of Daniel Traub's documentary film, Into Her Own. Von Rydingsvard's sculptures are exhibited in galleries, museums and public spaces throughout the world, including The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where you might have walked beneath her piece "Czara z Babelkami," on display in the outdoor sculpture garden.
Ursula von Rydingsvard: Into Her Own follows various recent commissions from beginning to final installation, and explores her early struggles, passion and profound drive to become an artist. Told mostly through her own voice, the film includes interviews with colleagues, family members and close friends who offer additional perspective on von Rydingsvard's life and work.
The event takes place on Saturday, February 22, with a cocktail reception with Ursula von Rydingsvard in Brava's Cabaret at 7pm, followed by the screening of the film and a discussion with the artist on our Main Stage at 8pm.
$15 - $50.
Presented by Brava Theater Center
