Calling all Cyborgs and Androids to UNPLUG! with us at Cat Club, Sunday Jan 26th, for night 41 of our weekly dark electronic music party. Celebrating all things Cyberpunk and beyond.
This week we celebrate your host Danny Delorean's birthday!
DJs spin music under the "Cyberpunk" umbrella, such as: Electro/Techno, Synthwave, Midtempo Bass, Cyber Goth/Modern Industrial inspired stuff, and sometimes Breaks or House, as long as it's dark and dirty. If you're tired of the same old same old, and endless tribute parties in this town, we got you covered. Come support local artists, at an independent venue, pushing new and unique sounds you won't hear at any other event.

(Now for the tl;dr writeup)
We are more disconnected from each other than ever before. We're glued to screens all day, and are interacting with each other less and less in the real world. We date through apps, take taxis without drivers, shop online (or use self checkout when going to a physical store), get takeout/groceries/weed etc delivered, take online classes, have zoom meetings, work remotely, play video games with people online, communicate via social media and text, watch DJs livestream, have ai create our art, and so many other things that are depriving us of much needed community and human interaction. There is an epidemic of loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction, self harm, and suicide as a result. I wanted to create a space where we can unplug from all of the noise, and reconnect with each other. A place where anyone can feel comfortable being who they are without judgement, chat with a stranger in a welcoming environment, and be goofy and childish without the urge to pull your phone out every few minutes for a dopamine hit, or merely just dance and fight brain rot for a few hours. Let's get weird and step out of our comfort zones.
