Ukulele 101: Island Strum Bootcamp + Intro to Picking and Chucking

LEARN THE MOST IMPORTANT UKULELE STRUM
Master the Island Strum with San Francisco's favorite ukulele teacher!  
This 2-hour workshop is designed as a refresher for those who have taken Cynthia's Beginner Basics class and would like to move on to Beginner II or Advanced Beginner, or for anyone who has been following Cynthia's tutorials online and would like some in-person instruction.
The Island Strum is the most versatile strum in ukulele, and having a solid grasp of the Island Strum will improve your rhythm and confidence to tackle more advanced strums.  Cynthia will break down the elements of the Island Strum step by step and spend time with each attendee to adjust hands and strumming technique.  We'll play through several songs using the Island Strum and review chord transitions, and we'll wrap up with an intro to the main topics of Beginner II - fingerpicking and chucking.  
PRE-REQUISITE: BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF CHORDS AND STRUMMING
Please walk yourself through the Stand By Me tutorial on YouTube before attending.  Watching all 6 lessons of the Beginner Basics series is preferable but not required.
