On Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra will present a bright, virtuoso-filled program. The evening opens with Keiko Abe's Prism Rhapsody, featuring marimba soloist Erin Lin--a sparkling showcase of color, rhythm, and sheer agility. Sergei Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante features cello soloist Sarah Kave, pairing beautiful lyricism with the sweep of a full symphonic backdrop. The concert concludes with Richard Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel, a quick-witted romp that's brilliantly detailed, mischievous, and full of momentum.
