Compton rapper Tyga creates a world that is equal parts sexy and dangerous. It's borderline gangsta rap--the content of his lyrics are well covered territory--but he does it creating imagery that is a bit more fantastic, all under a bed of really low-key, dark, ominous music. While he bumps these bare-bones beats, he raps so casual, it's like he's telling these matter-of-fact stories, which makes the grandiose sexual tales and dark depictions of everyday life seem more unsettling than boastful.. His 2011 single "Rack City" epitomizes this, and the dark hits have kept on coming, like "Far Away," "Make it Nasty," "Faded" and "Wait a Minute," his duet with Justin Bieber. (Jerry Salas)
