Brand New Location | Same Great Improv
Running since 2015, Moment Improv Theatre hosts a monthly "Two Play Improv Extravaganza" which features three unique improv comedy duos who each push the limit of what is possible onstage in inventive and interesting ways. Hosting the show will be special guest, Teddy Hull, who will have you laughing before and after each improv performance with engaging crowd work and top notch comedy.
This month we have an incredible treat for you! Closing out the show will be local favorites Liss n' Sams with Second City alumnus Joe Liss and Moment's Artistic Director, Marcus Sams! They've played multiple improv festivals across the country as well as Second City, LA. Ron West of Whose Line is it Anyway said, “Liss n’ Sams made me laugh… and I don’t laugh at improv anymore.”
Right before them you will see Veteran Improv Studs, Andy Sarouhan and Jerry Ruoti perform in The Trifecta who are forever looking for a third member. Guest performers usually circle in for this completely improvised show, but for tonight's performance they have completely given up and will perform as a duo... (They are amazing!)
Opening the show will be SF favorites, Bingewatch. These two have performed on the national improv circuit, and have performed in the San Francisco Improv Festival for the past 3 years. They take two Binge worthy TV shows that you watch and mash them together in such a comedic way your mind will explode.
Laugh off the stress of not keeping your New Year’s resolutions with us in the Moment!

More info:
Host: Teddy Hull
Teddy has performed stand-up comedy in the bay for years and is a Moment fav. There is a reason he keeps getting asked back. The audiences LOVE him and his tattoos.

Liss n' Sams : Joe Liss & Marcus Sams
Joe Liss and Marcus Sams first performed together in a Leela show and they instantly felt the improv Karma that transformed into Liss n’ Sams! Since then they have improvised all over the country. Joe is a Second City alumnus and has appeared on TV in Hidden America with Jonah Ray, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Strangers With Candy. Film roles include God Bless America, Wayne’s World II, Home Alone 2, and Major League. Among his writing credits are Third Rock From the Sun, SpongeBob Squarepants, and Drawn Together. Marcus is the Artistic Director of Moment Improv Theatre, the co-founder of the Bay Area Film Mixer and a working actor. He has performed in 60+ national improv festival shows, was a member of the critically-acclaimed group, Oui Be Negroes, and has performed with Leela for over decade.

The Trifecta : Jerry Ruoti & Andy Sarouhan
Andy and Jerry are The Trifecta, an improv trio forever searching for a third member.  Luck has not been on their side–every guest they invite to the trio stays for just a single show.  And there have been some good ones too!: Sarah Shoemaker, Rachel Hamilton, Rafe Chase, Tim Orr.  Not one has stuck, although it seems highly doubtful to Andy and Jerry that that could possibly have anything to do with them.
Guest performers usually circle in for this completely improvised show, but for tonight's performance they have completely given up and will perform as a duo...

Bingewatch: Diana Brown & Dan Wilson
Improvised mashups of bingewatching favorites. Diana Brown and Dan Wilson recreate the lost pilot of a show that you have never seen but would watch the hell out of. Every show tackles a mash-up of two different genres, from police procedural to soap opera to something awesome that would totally get canceled by Fox in its first season. And for some performances, not only can you help us create a pilot of a show you’d watch the hell out of… you can vote to watch another episode of a show we’ve already created! For example, Castle Catchers (a mash-up of Game of Thrones and HGTV’s Flipping Houses) – audiences have voted to see 3 episodes of that show so far! So bring your cell phones and vote for the show you’d like to see on our website before the show.
