Two Play Improv Extravaganza

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Moment Improv Theatre hosts a monthly "Two Play Improv Extravaganza" which features three unique improv comedy duos who each push the limit of what is possible onstage in inventive and interesting ways. Hosting the show will be special guest and stand-up comic Alicia Dattner, who will have you laughing before and after each improv performance with engaging crowd work and top notch comedy.
The theater space is intimate and features excellent sight-lines, and incredible acoustics so you can capture every nuance of the performance. The theater lobby is a great place to meet new friends and talk with the performers in a warm atmosphere.
Headlining this month's show is Liss n' Sams with Second City alumnus Joe Liss and Moment's Artistic Director, Marcus Sams! They've played multiple improv festivals across the country as well as Second City, LA. Ron West of Whose Line is it Anyway said, “Liss n’ Sams made me laugh… and I don’t laugh at improv anymore.”
Right before them you will see Christopher DeJong & Dan Wilson perform as Cream & Sugar. These two have been performing together for well over a decade and their improv talent will make you chortle with delight!
Opening the show will be Pamela Hawley and Dave Collins in Jackson Soup. Both players have performed in multiple improv festivals across the country as well as at Sketchfest, right here in San Francisco!
Laugh off your long week with us at Moment!

Host: Alicia Dattner
Alicia Dattner was voted Best Comedian in the San Francisco Bay Guardian and SF Weekly readers’ polls. Her new show, One Life Stand, is playing at The Marsh in August and September! Workshops at SoloShowdown.com
Liss n' Sams : Joe Liss & Marcus Sams
Joe and Marcus first performed together in a Leela show and they instantly felt the improv Karma that transformed into Liss n’ Sams! Since then they have improvised all over the country. Joe is a Second City alumnus and has appeared on TV in Hidden America with Jonah Ray, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Strangers With Candy. Film roles include God Bless America, Wayne’s World II, Home Alone 2, and Major League. Among his writing credits are Third Rock From the Sun, SpongeBob Squarepants, and Drawn Together. Marcus is the Artistic Director of Moment Improv Theatre, the co-founder of the Bay Area Film Mixer and a working actor. He has performed in 60+ national improv festival shows, was a member of the critically-acclaimed group, Oui Be Negroes, and has performed with Leela for over decade.

Cream & Sugar: Christopher DeJong & Dan Wilson
Christopher DeJong and Dan Wilson (or Dan Wilson and Christopher DeJong, depending on who you are asking) have made short movies together, created over a hundred improv podcasts, worked as an actor/playwright team, and one was even the other's best man at his wedding. They work together, they play together... it's so sweet it's kind of disgusting. But in a world as bitter as the worst coffee at the nastiest gas station on the way to Burning Man, it's time for a little cream and sugar to help wash down the taste of reality.

Jackson Soup: Pamela Hawley and Dave Collins
Jackson soup is an improv duo with over 23 years of combined experience. Pamela loves Michael Jackson and Dave loves soup. Their shows are real, relatable and sometimes include a rifle-toting elderly couple trying to kill a pregnant rat baby mama in their attic.
