Two new exhibitions

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Palo Alto, California—The Pacific Art League of Palo Alto (PAL) will host two new exhibitions, April 4th – 25th, in its transitional location at 227 Forest Avenue in Palo Alto.
“Spring Awakening,” a juried exhibition comprising forty 2- and 3-dimensional works by 31 California artists, will be featured in the Main Gallery. The works were selected by guest Jurors Ed Lucey and Maralyn Miller.
In the Glass Gallery we will be exhibiting the work our own Pacific Art League art instructors. The exhibit, “Local Talent,” will showcase their work and give visitors the opportunity to meet the teaches and discover our Spring course offerings.
In the Craft Gallery, local artist and PAL member Louis Basel will be exhibiting his blown glass. Both a craftsman and a mechanical engineer, Basel learned the art of glass blowing while at MIT. He works out of a private, buit-by-hand studio in San Jose’s Japantown, Wonderworks Glass. He states, “In glass, I draw from the precise proportioned forms of the Venetian tradition and bring innovations of my own into process and tools.
