Wes Leslie and the Bedroom Players are a soul revue from San Francisco, pioneers of a new genre called "bedroom soul.” It lays somewhere between self-aware hipster romantic and Al Green whispering into your ear.
Accompanied by Faheem Khemani and Mike Pensky, the band rescues lost soul songs and crafts their own timeless ballads, weaving concerns of love and distance with worker's rights and systemic inequality, and with surprising ease.
