THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Tunnels of the Mind is an outdoor video art installation of 18 recent works by San Francisco Art Institute-affiliated artists screening on the school's tower on Chestnut St. this Friday night and showing for one week in Times Square, NYC at the corner of 41st Street and 7th Avenue starting tomorrow.

The hour-long loop of short video pieces by artists such as Kota Ezawa, Sharon Lockhart, Mads Lynnerup, Aziz + Cucher and many more is curated by SFAI Film Department Chair Orit Ben Shitrit.

Tunnels of the Mind is the first in a year-long series of events marking SFAI's 150th anniversary that will include programs and exhibitions presented in partnership with leading artists and arts organizations around the world.

On Friday, June 12th, 2020 at 9pm, SFAI will project the entire program in San Francisco on the school's landmark tower at 800 Chestnut Street, visible to audiences in North Beach. Synchronously, its New York partner ZAZ Corner will feature a special midnight screening in New York, making this evening a live bi-coastal act of East Coast-West Coast solidarity.

The works will also be streamed online - https://sfai.edu/exhibitions-public-events/tunnels-of-the-mind - so anyone can pop on from anywhere and see them this week.
