Luna Rienne Gallery is pleased to present Trails Of Never Ending Light, a solo exhibition featuring San Francisco artist Chris Stokes.
Trails Of Never Ending Light showcases Stokes’ recent foray into line and color. Using masks, spray cans, and aerosol tips, he has created a body of work comprised of numerous colorful lines that please the eye on a surface level and invite further investigation into technique.
Chris Stokes uses mixed media to interlace and layer unassuming combinations of color, lines and found materials. Elements from literature, cultural symbols, and architecture meld together to become art that equals more than the sum of its parts. Born in Philadelphia, the long-time San Francisco resident’s work is a reflection of his travels, his ever-evolving perspective of the world, and an interest in science fiction. The resulting pieces represent new landscapes and structures that seem barely possible.
Trails Of Never Ending Light will be on exhibit from July 13 through August 19, 2019 at Luna Rienne Gallery, 3318 22nd Street near Valencia in San Francisco, which features visual artists working in contemporary mediums who integrate elements of urban culture with traditional techniques.
The opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 6PM until 9PM.
