Tour of Openhouse & Film Screening of Last Men Standing

Two exciting events on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 hosted by Openhouse and the Rainbow Research Group and the HIV, AIDS, and Older Adults Group of the Gerontological Society of America
Event 1: Tour & Panel Discussion at Openhouse  - 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm at 55 Laguna Street. 

Tour San Francisco's first affordable, LGBT-welcoming housing facility (@ 55 Laguna St.) and the Bob Ross LGBT Senior Center followed by a panel discussion on home healthcare concerns for LGBT seniors. A panel of experts in LGBT aging, long-term care research, cultural competency, and home healthcare services will be discussing current issues for our community and cutting-edge research. Join other researchers, healthcare professionals, and local home healthcare agencies for this unique and timely panel discussion!

The event is free, but registration is required - space is limited to 50 people

Event 2: Film Screening of Last Men Standing & Meet and Greet at SF LGBT Center                                                            - 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at 1800 Market Street, Rainbow Room.

Following the panel discussion, we will venture up the street for a screening of Last Men Standing. “In this cathartic and intimate documentary, eight men look back on their experiences and then toward the future with the strength and resiliency they have cultivated over the past 30 years.” Meet & Greet: Immediately after the film, join several of the men from the documentary and the filmmaker for a brief discussion.
