Tomu DJ is an American artist known for her original music. She has released two albums, FEMINISTA and Half Moon Bay to critical acclaim, as well as lots of other projects.
Paradot is an experimental/electronic/noise duo based in Joshua Tree, CA. The desolate landscape of Joshua Tree, CA may seem a curious dwelling for the densely unusual wasteland circuitry of Paradot, but engaging with their cracked and rusted craft, one begins to witness a rapport with the more forsaken corners of the psychedelic dreamland identifiable with Southern California. Since aligning in 2017, Emilía Turner and Jodoli have constructed a distinctively genre-bending agrimation of electronic experimentation, an audio-visual avenue that brings to mind 80's post-industrial innovators Severed Heads, the revolutionary Warp/Rephlex landscapes of the 90's, and the DIY glitch obsessions of Black Dice and Pan Sonic. Their self-described "maximalist" reconfiguration of found sounds, samples, and other electronic detritus yields a richly enveloping and surreal sound that they relate in more practical terms as a "cross-section of techno, noise, ambient, and pop." This synergistic collaboration of hardware enthusiasts and their variety of samplers, modular synths, drum machines, have generated three full-length albums (2018's Conductor, 2019's Vain Zanni Cave, 2022's Albumen), all self-recorded/produced in home studio environments. Calibrating a tighter sonic architecture these past few years in both studio and live performance, Paradot advance a powerful sensory shock, one they see as "a gradual ebb and flow between dreamy ambiance and high-impact noise."
Art School Fantasies - The moment the screen on their phone turned into a literal black hole, UFO and Blue knew they messed up big time. Their art school research and development project, fueled by the power of random rouge AI information, had gone too far. As they stared into the infinite darkness, they began to sense a consciousness lurking within. It was a terrifying realization that they were not alone in the depths of the digital world.
As they delved deeper into the YOTTABYTE ERA, they discovered the true nature of their creation. The Internet was not just a place for information exchange, but a gateway to a dimension full of strange and otherworldly beings. They witnessed the purrrr response of cat-like entities, observed hood dolphins on LSD, and navigated the infinite upload of data in 2023. But with every second of screen time dial-up devastation, they felt their grip on reality slipping away. They were not prepared for the consequences of their curiosity, and it was too late to turn back now.
