Tomorrow's Tulips

What is tomorrows tulips?

what happened to your big brothers indie rock?

don't worry alex and ford are keeping it safe for you...

born and bred off the southern California coast both these two dudes are keeping the fine tradition of slightly bummed, slightly happy, slightly outta tune and slightly crafty underground rock music alive. they aren't really 90's revivalists, they are happening now!

they know there was a velvet underground before there was a beat happening and they know it well.

they know there was a pavement before there was a weezer and they know it well.

they know bands recorded on 4 tracks before there was garageband and they know it well.

they know the kids from burger records and they know them well.

they have a new lp out called "experimental jelly" maybe you should get to know it well.

-Brent Rademaker (Beachwood Sparks, Further)

The She's

It is the mid-1990s in San Francisco California. Four baby girls are crying in their cribs shaking their little baby fists at the heavens lamenting the fact that fate has not yet united them. So begins this tale. Fast forward. It is 2007 and these same four girls are playing Ramones covers in Hannah's basement with studded belts around their waists and braces on their teeth, algebra homework strewn across the floor. Jump ahead. It's November 2011. "The She’s" have just released their first full length record Then It Starts to Feel Like Summer. It's an album that captures their youthful spirits and deep-seeded friendship with tight three part harmonies, sparkling, sunny instrumentals and smart, catchy songwriting. The she's sing songs that reflect their environment, their heartache, their relationships and aspirations. It's infectious. The Grinch smiles when he hears it. People start to notice the noise these four best friends are making. The She's gain momentum in the local music scene and open for bands like Girls, Surfer Blood,Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, and Yuck. They keep writing songs. Fast forward to present day. The She's are back and they've got something new for you. It's dreamy and sunny and the ladies most mature, honest and enchanting release to date.

Tarek Wegner (Night Beats)

Night Beats are an American Psychedelic, Garage and Soul group based out of Seattle, Washington. Night Beats incorporate sounds of early R&B, Texas Psychedelic Rock, UK Blues, Folk and Soul.

Named as an homage to Sam Cooke’s Magnum Opus, The Night Beats were founded by Danny Lee “Blackwell” in 2009 as a two-piece when drummer James Traeger moved from Austin, TX to Seattle, WA. The band was signed by Chicago’s Trouble in Mind Records (Ty Segall, Fresh and Only’s, Fuzz, etc) within weeks of self-releasing their debut EP: The H-Bomb. In June of 2011 - Trouble In Mind released the band’s first full length record, “The Night Beats.” In support of the record, the band toured extensively around the world, alongside such artists as The Black Angels, Roky Erickson, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Strange Boys, Black Lips and The Growlers. The Night Beats’ second record - “Sonic Bloom” - was released in 2013 on Reverberation Appreciation Society which helped to bring the band to new audiences, resulting in tours in South Africa, Israel, and Australia.
