Together We Can: Post-Inauguration "Do Fair"

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Itching to do something, do more in these times? Wanting for more, to support progressive values in our community and our neighbors in need? Looking for where and how to donate your resources, or who to join in organizing?
Please join us in a San Francisco “Do Fair” - a post-Inauguration half day event organized to connect Bay Area residents who want to take action, to organizations serving our community and seeking support or additional engagement (e.g. direct volunteers, monetary resources, coalition and organizing power).
Our aim: find something that lights us up, join others, get involved, learn, and serve our local community.
Tickets are at sliding scale (no cost, at cost, or above cost). The event is solely supported by donations and is a no-proceeds event. Donations of any amount are appreciated, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds! The suggested donation is set at the current cost of event (to cover space + equipment rental) of $10-15/person, and any money raised above cost will be given directly to the organizations present.
Space is limited, so please RSVP with a ticket.

On the program:
A. Auditorium set up with tabling for you to meet organizations and get involved then and there. List of orgs to come.
B. Additional room for workshops, including on the following topics:

The First Steps to Running for Office

Racial Justice

Healing / Self Care for Social Activists

Know Your Rights

Young Dems Organizing

Bystander Awareness

C. Showcase of local artists' work, as well as music provided by community DJs.

Transportation: The Women's Building is accessible via 16th Street Station BART. Muni bus lines serving this area include 14, 22, 26, 33, 49 and the J Church. Street parking available.

Organized as a sister event to the Oakland Peace Center's Resource Fair, and with Women Get It Done - SF Bay Area
