Put aside all your notions about choral concerts and come hear the Sacramento Women’s Chorus perform their 30th Anniversary Concert, “Today I Live” on May 13th at 7:00 PM at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. Joining them will be Cris Williamson, well known singer/songwriter, political activist, and forerunner of the women’s musical movement. With a vocal style reminiscent of Judy Collins, Cris has been writing and recording music since the mid-1960s. Accompanied by her All-Star Band – Teresa Trull, Barbara Higbie, and Shelly Doty – she will be singing songs from her epic album “The Changer and the Changed”. The show, presented in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (formerly Breast Cancer Fund) whose mission is to inform the public of links between environmental pollutants and various cancers, supports breast cancer awareness and honors all who have faced this or life’s other challenges
