Last year, Rick Gutierrez and Christine Tupou pulled off the highly ambitious three-day DIY music festival, Think and Die Thinking. It was a big success, and this year Think and Die Thinking returns for another three days of punk and indie music at the Billy DeFrank Center, spotlighting bands with women, people of color and members from the queer and transgender communities. The big difference this year is they'll be having a lot more non-music acts, including performance artists and comedians. Also there will be workshops on topics like feminism, battling racism and more. Some of the bands playing this year include Wild Assumptions, Sourpatch, Yulia, Weird TV, Street Eaters, Wild Moth, Fat Transfer and Ugly Winner. - Aaron Carnes sanjose.com
