New Years Eve Guide
A tale of two Christmases. Stocking stuffers, fairy lights and mistletoe, or delayed flights, massive mall crowds and dysfunction families - oh my! Many folks' favorite (or most dreaded) holiday is fast upon us. Which means that the city has emptied-out and those of us still here can run through the quiet streets rejoicing! Start with this year's amazing production of The Nutcracker at the SF Ballet. And then do Christmas up right with a bit of Chinese food and a hefty helping of laughs at Kung Pao Kosher Comedy at New Asia Restaurant. Another great option for continuing the holiday joy is the hilarious The Santaland Diaries at the Off Market Theatre. On Friday, work off your aunt's disgusting 10,000 calorie fruitcake at Christmahanukwanzakah at 111 Minna Gallery featuring Hot Tub. You could also catch the last show (at least for the foreseeable future) of Two Gallants at The Fillmore. And while others are suffering through horrible airport delays and blistery weather, you can be rockin' out to disco acid house at the Paradise Lounge. Whatever the case, don't forget to check out this week's Best Of issue; where our editors and top writers dish on the best of 2008. All in all, it's going to be a *very* good Christmas. And from all of us here at SF Station -- we wish you the very happiest of holidays!
