A new dawn has risen in this country. The American ideal for which so many have, and still, fight for has finally come into fruition. Barack Obama has been elected the 44th President of the United States showing the world that hope and change are possible even in the worst of times. For many, this enormous accomplishment is still sinking in and decompression is the name of game this week. Start off with Godzuki Happy Hour Sushi at The Knockout; fresh sushi + cheap drinks = good times. On Thursday, take a trip to the subcontinent with the SF International South Asian Film Festival where you can catch some of the best in Bollywood and independent cinema. Then travel to the wilds of the Lower Haight for D-Stricts at D-Structure for a fashion show exploring the latest in urban style. President-Elect Obama has said this more than once: the planet is in peril. Find out about what you can do to help curb the global climate crisis at the SF Green Festival at Concourse Exhibition Center. And since it is already mid-November, the holidays are fast upon us. Get into the swing of things at the Holiday Ice Rink at Union Square!
