It might get messy this week on the streets of San Francisco as Critical Mass celebrates its 20th anniversary with a week of events, including the Anniversary Critical Mass ride this Friday. The same could be said for Oktoberfest by the Bay, which expands to a three-day celebration of German culture and beer this year at Pier 48. Harmony by the Bay brings a day of indie rock, reggae and yoga to Shoreline and the Polk Street Blues Festival hosts two days of blues in the Upper Polk neighborhood. Balboa Skate Park makes its debut with live music, food trucks and local pros and the Central Market Arts Festival kicks off 24 days of live dance, music, theater, art walks and more.
