A Party Guide for Non-Burners
There are plenty of events-and a few more parking spaces-for the party people who remain in San Francisco while the mass exodus to the Playa for Burning Man continues this week. Local DJs celebrate Chuy Gomez's 20-year run at KMEL with a free party tonight at Mighty after his surprise exit from the station and gLAdiators is back in action at DNA Lounge. UK rockers Alt-J headline Fox Theater on consecutive nights and Icona Pop brings one of this year's top summer jams to the Fillmore. Veteran DJs Z-Trip and Paul Van Dyk are in San Francisco with competing shows and Stompy + Sunset Labor of Love brings an opportunity to take full advantage of the Monday holiday with a 12-hour dance party. Fashion meets art at Folsom Fashion Night and Toad & Salmon's Chili Bowl Cook Off pairs campfire cuisine with skateboarding at Potrero Del Sol Park.
