Film Festival

Memorial Day Weekend is just a few days away, and for those who are lucky enough to have three days off, there are plenty of fun options in the Bay Area without the hassle of traffic or high gas prices associated with road trips out of town. The relocation of I Love This City from the AT&T Park parking lot to Mountain View caused virtual groans on Twitter and Facebook, but the event still features the strongest lineup of DJs and Producers this weekend. The best bet for sunshine and lots of skin is in the Mission District with the return of the annual Carnaval street party and parade. Meanwhile, a milestone event arrives on the waterfront, from Fort Point to Pier 39, for the Golden Gate Festival, a celebration of the bridge's 75th year. The Clift Sessions return with Shlohmo and Tracy Morgan (aka 30 Rock's Tracy Jordan) is back on stage for a long weekend of standup comedy. LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy is behind the decks at Public Works and Sila! takes the world groove party into the night at Brick & Mortar.
