The Zins incorporate their own brand of originality and improvisation in the longer stretches of instrumental runs, so while the songs you recognize still hold the same lyrics and music, The Zins’ original spin keeps the sound fresh and new. Formed in 2007 by Val Fuentes and Jeff Stevenson, they settled on their wine-inspired name as they began with seven players and because Jeff happened to make some pretty great zinfandel.
