The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra under the director of Ben Simon presents the world premiere of composer Michael Gilbertson's Graffiti: Concerto for Orchestra. Gilbertson was inspired by the creative energy of San Francisco's street artists and their desire for their voices to be heard. Also on the program is the dynamic young violist Juan-Miquel Hernandez performing the Stamitz Viola Concerto in D Major. Capping off the evening is Haydn's Symphony No. 104, an orchestral tour-de-force combining symphonic splendor and lighthearted brilliance.
