We'll begin the evening with a walk-thru of the current exhibition at G16, We Are All Made Of Light. Griff Williams and other long-time friends of Rex Ray will discuss the artist's life and work.
Afterwards, we'll have a special presentation of "The Vegetable Kingdom," a play written by Kevin Killian and Rex Ray. Obsessed with TV and Yoko Ono, Rex Ray devised the idea of a TV game show, like Jeopardy, but all the questions are about vegetables—being that former hippies produced this show to promote vegetarianism. Failing ratings force the producers to cast a pair of celebrity contestants—Yoko Ono and Linda McCartney—not knowing (or caring) about the age-old enmity between the two.
