Forty years ago this spring, the Slavyanka Russian Chorus was founded and began bringing music from the vastchoral traditions of Russia to the Bay Area. This June, the Chorus is celebrating our ruby anniversary with three special events. Please come and join in the festivities!

Saturday, June 8th, 7:30pm -- A male chorus spectacular!
?The current iteration of the Slavyanka Russian Men's Chorus will join with Slavyanka Russian Chorus alumni and Yale Russian Chorus alumni from around the country to celebrate Slavyanka’s 40 years *and* Russia’s timeless tradition of male singing! Spiritual hymns, boisterous folk songs, and much more!
Location: Lake Merritt United Methodist Church, 1255 First Avenue, Oakland (at Lakeshore Avenue, on the lake)
Tickets: $20

Sunday, June 9th, 3:00pm -- Multiple choral arrangements and guest performers!
The Slavyanka Russian Chorus' Women's, Men's, and Mixed Choirs will join with Slavyanka Russian Chorus alumni, Yale Russian Chorus alumni from around the country, and special guest performers in a grand celebration of the Chorus' 40 years – and Russia’s 1000-year tradition of choral music!?
Location: Star of the Sea Church, 4420 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco (at 8th Avenue)
Tickets: $25
?A 40th-Anniversary reception will be held next door immediately after the concert!
