For those not in the know, Skyflakes are a Filipino cracker brand that is-according to its website-"the number 1 undisputed cracker brand since its introduction in the 1960s." Skyflakes are also a Filipino indie pop seven-piece who may not be the number 1 undisputed indie pop band, but are pretty dang cool. They play low-key, dreamy pop that belies the anxiety and longing of their lyrics and sound super fresh. And if one couldn't scrounge for the cash for their other San Jose shows this month, this one's free. Skyflakes, the crackers, are unfortunately not free. (Stephen Layton)
