The Secret Garden: Gallery 2727 Group Exhibition Opening Reception

What blooms when no one is looking? What hidden treasures wait for the right set of eyes to find them? Gallery 2727 is itself a hidden cornucopia in the center of South Berkeley. Like any garden, it contains a multitude of different styles, approaches, and techniques. We invite you to join us for the opening party of The Secret Garden on March 7th or to come see our show which highlights what often goes unseen, up throughout March 2024 at 2727 California Street in Berkeley.
Nearing the end of its second year, South Berkeley's Gallery 2727 is pleased to present its newest show, The Secret Garden. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 2727 California Street in the cultural heart of South Berkeley. The public is invited to discover unique artworks that are ideal for collecting or enriching the lives of others, and many artists will be on hand to discuss their work and practices. The month-long exhibition will include a range of new work by 11 artists who are members of this South Berkeley co-operative gallery. The artwork ranges from realistic to abstract, serious to whimsical, two dimensional to sculptural. The gallery is open Fridays from 4 to 8 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 PM.

About Gallery 2727:
Gallery shows are presented every third month - four shows a year, alternating with performance, assembly and community use. These include musical and theatrical presentations, poetry and spoken word readings, film screenings, workshops, and practice use. Gallery 2727 began operating as a visual arts space in the summer of 2022 under the auspices of the non-profit Hellerstein Foundation.
