The San Francisco Airship Acoustic
SATURDAY JULY 28th
JOJO RAZOR - JEFF KAPLAN - CHRIS LOCKHEED
Airship Acoustic is about keeping Jefferson Airplane’s music alive. We grew up with their music and maybe you did too. But we’ve discovered in performance that it’s relevant to people who weren’t around for the original band. We started out as a full electric band, San Francisco Airship. But we know that the root of their music was in folk, blues and acoustic live performance. And, we’re not just performers, we’re fans. So we do our best to honor the spirit of the original music. We’re not trying to duplicate it so much as resurrect it. We’re bringing it back with the full force that only live music can do. We’re Airship Acoustic. Come along with us.
CHRIS LOCKHEED has performed and recorded with Kak, Goose Creek Symphony, New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Tubes, and Lightnin’ Hopkins.
JOJO RAZOR has sung with members of Yes, Saga and Renaissance. She also works with Gekko Projket, Imager and Shine Delirious.
JEFF KAPLAN is best known for his contributions to Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, Norman Salant Band and New Bluegrass Disciples.

2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of The Human Be-In, Monterey Pop Festival and The Summer of Love. At the heart of the culture in 1967 was music, which became known as The San Francisco Sound. One of the most influential bands that quickly gained enduring international acclaim in that era was Jefferson Airplane.
SAN FRANCISCO AIRSHIP is a tribute to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Jefferson Airplane. These stellar musicians respectfully recreate the feeling of that iconic band. Their live performance sounds exactly like The Airplane 1965-1970!
Members have performed with Jefferson Starship, Blue Cheer, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Tubes, Big Brother & The Holding Company, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, and more.
SAN FRANCISCO AIRSHIP brings that wonderful Summer Of Love feeling back to life with hits like “White Rabbit”, “Somebody To Love”, “Wooden Ships”, “Volunteers” and many more. The Airship tastefully celebrates the music of one of the great bands of our time.
