"[Ray Charles'] influence echoes through generations" - New York Times
Ray Charles' impact on American popular music still reverberates, even into this second decade of the 21st century. He wasn't called “The Genius†for nothing. This tribute band is a cut above the rest, featuring Santana vocalist Tony Lindsay and his Santana bandmate/keyboardist Dave Mathews alongside Glenn Walters of the HooDoo Rhythm Devils and legendary Bay Area guitarist Chris Cain. Bassist DeWayne Pate of Robben Ford's band, plus drummer Deszon Claiborne round out the rhythm section. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better collection of players to honor Charles’ legacy, and this is certainly a group that would garner his stamp of approval.
