THE RAVIV MARKOVITZ GROUP

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Black Cat (see times)

Raviv Markovitz is an acoustic and electric bassist based in New York City, who has quickly become one of the most sought-after bassists on the New York Jazz scene. He will be playing downstairs at Black Cat for TWO-NIGHTS-ONLY! He is leading a band of Jazz greats who have all played here before, but never in this combination. Featuring Javier Santiago on keys, whose debut album “Phoenix” has been rising and gaining notoriety in various music publications. Bay Area Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Steven Lugerner, who is currently leading both SLUGish Ensemble, an amoeba-like group dedicated to original compositions & arrangements in addition to JACKNIFE, a hard-hitting post-bop quintet dedicated to the music of late alto saxophonist Jackie McLean. Bringing the hard-hitting beats and delicate highlights, Evan Hughes from NYC will be playing the drums and cymbals. Book your tickets now! These guys are hot!
