The Peninsula Parlour presents award-winning novelist, short-story writer, poet, and screenwriter Susan Minot discussing her brilliant and ambitious new novel, Thirty Girls. Set in war-torn Africa, Minot interweaves the stories of kidnapped Ugandan teenager Esther and American journalist Jane, giving us razor-sharp portraits of two extraordinary young women confronting displacement, heartbreak, and the struggle to wrest meaning from events that test them both in unimaginable ways. Susan will be in conversation with Lisen Stromberg.
