The Painting Experience! A Process Painting Workshop
Process painting is not about technique, skill or training; it’s about using the tools of art to explore the very nature of the creative fire within you. In this workshop, you’ll discover the freedom of creating without being pressured to perform, produce, or succeed. And you’ll break through the myth that you have to feel inspired and confident in order to create.
Painting for process is engaged spirituality -- a practice of equanimity through which you learn to stay present with whatever arises. Not knowing what’s next allows innocence. Accepting imperfection yields compassion. Risking vulnerability opens the door to breakthrough and awe. Carrying a painting through to its natural completion can offer an inner healing of freedom and release.
Join us for this weekend of exploration and experience the exhilaration of connecting with your true creative expression.
No prior experience or training in painting is required!
Location: First Presbyterian Church, San Rafael
Tuition: $415. ($315 if you've painted with us before.) Your tuition includes all art materials, 12+ hours of facilitated painting sessions, group discussions in supportive community, a video presentation about creativity and the practice of arts as process, and more.
