Valley of the Moon Music Festival's 2017 Green Music Center concert series concludes with a program devoted to Brahms. Boston-based contralto Emily Marvosh will take the stage alongside a cohort of distinguished musicians including violinists Jodi Levitz, Bettina Mussumeli and Ian Swensen, cellist Tanya Tomkins, Sadie Glass on the natural horn, and Eric Zivian on fortepiano.
Marvosh has been a frequent soloist with the Handel and Haydn Society under the direction of Harry Christophers, earning raves for her "rich, clear contralto" (Washington Post), "dark, caramel voice...and fiery power" (Boston Classical Review).
