Gian Carlo Menotti's The Medium is a gripping one-hour chamber opera exploring belief, deception, and the terrifying consequences of self-delusion. Madame Flora ("Baba"), a fraudulent psychic, profits from staging seances for grieving clients, aided by her daughter Monica and the silent, adopted Toby.
