The McCoy Tyler Band is a hree piece acoustic trio that hails from Santa Cruz. Their music can best be described as a mix of Neil Young, The Devil Makes Three, Townes Van Zandt and Railroad Earth, with a little Bill Monroe and Tony Rice thrown in for good measure. Big Tree is a pop band for naturalists at heart, seamlessly combining organic folk, greasy blues, ambient rock, and modal jazz for a sound that is fresh yet familiar.
