The Love Handles
“This may be San Francisco’s Best Party Band”
The Love Handles – “The Mother of All Dad Bands” – is a 9-piece, high energy, party band featuring a killer horn section who perform an eclectic mix of covers from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and more. Expect a high energy show that spans Billy Idol to Grandmaster Flash to Stevie Wonder. The Love Handles first burst onto the underground Dad-core scene at the now infamous Dad Fight Club where they scored the soundtrack for pummeling parents with a 39 minute black metal version of Bowie’s “Heroes.” This dark and confusing gig led the band to soul search through drum circles, scream therapy, rounds of golf, and single malt. In the end they decided to celebrate midlife crisis with party music that makes moms go wild. The kids seem to have taken to the band too, or maybe it’s just the unlimited screen time permitted at their shows. Take some fatherly advice and squeeze The Love Handles.
The Funrazers
Imagine Pitbull teams up with Blondie, backed by Dave Grohl, The Edge, Prince, Flea and Tony Banks. Well, the Funrazers aren’t anything like that.
Initially under the guise of a parent band for The Carey School in San Mateo beginning in 2008 we covered classic 80s to current hip hop. Recent apocalyptic events have freed our eclectic family to unite in our true personae. Through good vibrations and jammin' tunes, the Funrazers' high-energy set will get you dancing and help steer humanity from a club hits-less dystopian future.
