What’s Up Party Animals,
I feel like lately I’ve been playing a lot of short, back to back sets with the Desert Hearts Crew that while extremely fun, often leave me wanting more from a personal growth perspective. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE playing gigs with my brother, my fake dad, and my best friend, but when I first started playing club gigs, I cut my teeth playing 6 hours sets once a week in a side room in Barcelona on Wednesday nights. While these gigs weren’t the most bangin’ parties, they taught me everything I know about DJing. They gave me room to take chances, flex what I’m feelin’, and dive into a ton of different genres throughout the night. This is the type of DJing that I truly love and it’s about that time I get back to my roots and explore the versatility that I feel’s been lacking from my hour long sets.
Audio asked me if I would be interested in playing from open to close on their new sound system, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect room to suit such an intimate experience. This will be the first open to close set I’ve played in 8 years and I hope you’ll join me as I take you deep into The Lion’s Den to share what’s been on my mind.
