This online course explores visual language encompassing the use of form, color, tone, shape, pattern and rhythm as expressive tools in photography. The course blends creativity, visual principles and technique entirely relevant to a wide range of photographic disciplines from fine art to documentary to portraiture. At the end of the 10-week semester, students will have produced a series of photographs representing increased knowledge of visual language and a personal relationship to the medium.
