Jump on the new wave of jazz, funk, and dub in the area with two flawless San Jose bands; future funk group The JurassiC and the newest wave of The Mark Arroyo Trio, The Last Dose.
• The Last Dose •
Starting with the music of Miles Davis's electric period, The Last Dose explores the links between jazz, rock, funk, and dub, with brand new takes on an almost forgotten sound. Bridging the gaps between generations of fusion, The Last Dose aims to change the face of electric jazz in Silicon Valley. Together, these musicians take you on a journey through electric grooves, earthshaking dub workouts, and group improvisations. Together they are The Last Dose. Their debut recording is out now.

Take funk, jazz, and pop music and put it in a blender. Add a dash of soul, and you are deep in the groove of The JurassiC. This colorful South Bay group started from jazz roots and found its original sound by mashing classic songs with hip-hop beats. Fast forward to present day, and the energy and infectious grooves from The JurassiC make it impossible to sit still. Their influences are vast; from Glasper to MJ, Hiatus Kaiyote, and artists in between, they channel the sound of universal in their covers and original arrangements.
