The Jacket and Patch Art Show

SEE EVENT DETAILS
WorkshopSF is very proud to present The Jacket and Patch Art Show, featuring 50+ custom jackets from over thirty artists using various DIY methods that include leatherworking, embroidery, chain stitching, painting, printmaking, modern quilting, and more. The show opens on October 5, 2018, and closes on November 30, 2018. An opening party will be held at WorkshopSF, located at 1798 McAllister Street in Western Addition on Friday, October 5th, 7-11pm.

The Jacket and Patch Art Show is an homage to DIY's rock and roll roots of handmade show posters, zines, punk shows, and epic DIY jackets with a modern twist and some granny craft roots thrown in. DIY is more than a trend, more than classic crafts, more than art- it's a lifestyle about just gettin' it done and building a community. Join us at the opening for art, DIY, food, and brews! There will even be a DIY button and patch station so you can customize your own jacket with imagery from some of the participating artists!

Very special thanks to Levi's for so generously donating denim jackets to some of our artists to create twenty of the works on display.
