The House Of Love announces that former band members Terry, Pete, Matt and Guy are going their separate ways and that he has put together a new line-up. The pandemic has been a catalyst of change in Guy's decision, with him working closer to home with other musicians in preparation for the postponed North American tour. Guy wanted Terry to be involved but he declined and will make his own statement in due course. Although they were not in agreement about the split, they remain friends.
Having had to turn down many USA tour offers over the years, as some members of the band did not wish to travel there, Guy decided to put a new band together to tour North America last year. Although postponed due to the pandemic, this new band had nonetheless become a tight unit, rehearsing all the classics and working on new material as an album began to take shape over the various breaks in lockdowns. Guy says - 'The forthcoming new album is most definitely a classic House of Love record, with different musicians bringing a new enthusiasm, energy and vibrancy to what I feel are the best set of songs I have written for years.'
The band are all from the South Coast music town of Hastings, known for its exciting music scene and pool of musical talent and all have their own projects in addition to joining the House of Love.
They are Keith Osborne on Lead Guitar, Harry Osborne on Bass and Hugo Degenhardt on Drums.
Hugo has toured and recorded with many bands and artists worldwide including Bryan Ferry, Rod Stewart, and Steve Hackett, Fink's Sunday Night Blues Club Album, and long-time collaborators Chester Kamen and Dale Davis as The Twins.
Keith is a multi-instrumentalist who in addition to Guitar plays Pedal Steel, Dobro Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Keyboards. He also engineers and produces in his own studio. Previous bands include The Past Present Organization, Idlewild, Helicopter Girl and Reuben's Train. He is also a big part of the local music scene organizing various events and gigs (in normal times!).
Harry Osborne is also a multi-instrumentalist, writer and producer.Having worked with Stephen Hague (New Order), Kevin Armstrong (Bowie), Toby Andersen, and Youth on recording projects, sessions and live shows. Harry has his own band called "Someone Anyone" who are making waves in UK Jazz and Indie scene.
