The Healthy Masculine: Ego and Male Privilege (Vol. 1)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Mango Dome Community Center (see times)
This class illuminates our daily decision making based off of inherent learned programming of social masculine privilege. How that privilege is bolstered by our ego and how our ego, in turn, justifies this privilege. Despite the illusion of power insisted by our ego, this privilege, as we will illustrate, actually imprisons us in a constant spiral trying to catch our own tail in pursuit of more and more power. This vicious cycle forbids us, through shame, from ever reaching true happiness, contentment, or presence of mind. Breaking this inner conflict is the key to understanding the strength of vulnerability, the gateway to healthy masculinity and the path towards growing as a human being.

Pretty barbarian and masculine unicorn, John Harris of Barbarianeffeminate.com will lead and learn with you toward discovering a new path toward the future of masculinity.

Insights will include:
~ Realizing the toxicity holding you back
~ Becoming aware of your ego
~ Learning methods to be free of masculine shame
~ Recognizing male privilege and learning to use it for good
~ Connecting with others to discuss the future of masculinity
~ Awareness of your own masculinity within a feminist world
By the end of this workshop, you will have found new ways of deprogramming the toxic social value of masculinity and be armed with innovative ways of discovering deeper vulnerabilites. Your ego will become more honest and your privilege easier to wield.
>Doors open at 15 minutes before, please arrive early so we can begin on time.
>Tickets are not refundable. They may be transferred to another individual, but not a future event.
>Penis not required for attendance. All humans welcome.
